An Afternoon of Art
In an effort to gain a fresh perspective and acquire new skills, as well as enjoy some good ol’ fashioned team building, PCA joined renowned local artist Mike Rivero in a painting tutorial at his studio on 6th Street in San Pedro. In keeping with PCA’s tradition of competitive team building activities, we decided to make a small competition out of the fun afternoon; a neutral judge declared the three “best pieces” (aka: the paintings that evoked the most emotion and feeling). Not surprisingly, PCA’s design team took the glory. In first place was graphic designer Liz Renteria, and second and third place went to Senior Partners Peter Cooper and Chris Salling, respectively.
After a unanimous vote, PCA decided all of the pieces would be arranged and framed together as one, and then hung in PCA’s own art gallery in the Palos Verdes offices.
